Finally we have news on the NEW pathway to PR for 482 visa holders on the Short term stream. Legislations has been released. To be eligible, you must hold a 482 visa in the short-term stream, have been in Australia for at least 12 months between 1 February 2020 and 14 December 2021 and be employed.
The pathway will be via the subclass 186 Temporary Transition stream
Applications will be available from 1 July 2022
The applicant will need to have been in Australia for at least 12 months between 1 February 2020 and 14 December 2021
At the time of nomination application, the prospective visa applicant will need to have worked Full Time for the same employer for at least 3 years in the preceding 4 years (excluding periods of unpaid leave and reduced hours)
